To celebrate the International Day of Forests and National Tree Planting Day on March 21, 2025, Floresta Tanzania organized a tree-planting event to support environmental conservation. The event brought together Floresta Tanzania staff, members of Village Savings and Lending Association (VSLA) groups from Mwanga District in the Kilimanjaro Region, community members, and leaders from KKKT Kivindu Church in Usangi Division.
A total of 310 trees were planted at KKKT Kivindu Church and Kivindu Primary School in Mwanga District. This initiative demonstrates Floresta Tanzania’s dedication to environmental restoration and sustainable conservation through community participation. The event also raised awareness about the importance of trees and fostered partnerships for a greener future.
